Forced to reestablish herself in her Louisiana childhood home, May-Alice drinks heavily and angrily discharges several caretakers until she meets Chantelle (Alfre Woodard), whose stubbornness matches her own. Chantelle\u2019s no-nonsense approach to her caretaking duties forces May-Alice to confront her limitations and go on with life.
