Every night, these two sheltered, shattered souls relearn intimacy and trust, so the film, by favoring a slow and steady pace over quick and easy dramatics, gives every interaction heft. The little gestures\u2014holding a hand, a head on a shoulder\u2014feel meaningful as a result.
