He has little need for a new, furry, family member, whom Beth names \u201cFreeway.\u201d Time passes. Beth\u2019s love for the dog blooms; Joseph remains indifferent. When he loses Freeway in the woods after their daughter\u2019s wedding (to the pooch\u2019s vet), the couple\u2019s search\u2014aided by friends and family members\u2014doubles as a rustic therapy session to reassess their feelings.
